About Raja Catering

Raja Catering Services is built on a rich heritage of hospitality, inspired by the legacy of its founder, Haji A. Ameer Alavudeen, who was the esteemed manager of Lucky Café, Coimbatore's top hotel, until its closure in 1993. Following in his footsteps, A. Alathap Rahuman embraced this family legacy by establishing Raja Hotel in 1994, later expanding with a second location in Peelamedu in 2000.

Facing initial challenges, including a short-lived partnership under the name “Maharaja Catering” and personal hardships, Rahuman remained steadfast in his commitment to excellence. He pursued formal education in hotel management, honing his catering skills by fulfilling orders for local institutions during his college years. In 2004, fueled by determination and operating from a modest 600 sq ft kitchen adjacent to Raja Hotel, he founded Raja Catering. The venture quickly gained traction, securing large-scale orders ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 plates, leading to an expansion into a more spacious 2,000 sq ft facility.
